Listeria: the manufacturer recalls the numerous varieties of cheese because of bacteria
The cheese bird AG from Switzerland has started a recall for the numerous varieties of cheese. The action takes place after the cheese of the manufacturer of Listeria were detected. These bacteria can cause the disease “listeriosis”.
As the Swiss Federal food safety and veterinary office (fsvo) informs on its website, were detected in the framework of internal controls in the cheese factory, bird AG, Listeria in cheese and in the production facility. The FVO has published a public warning.
Products should not be consumed
“The consumption of cheese from the operation may endanger the health”, – stated in the warning. The fsvo “recommends not to consume the affected products”.
According to the figures, the manufacturer has informed the purchaser about it and caused that the products were withdrawn from sale.

Listeria bacteria can cause the disease “listeriosis” are.
